Joe Martinez and Gus Guthrie have been composing and performing together since 2004. In between their day jobs as public school teachers sharing their passion for music and art with their students, they were making music in NeZrecord’s Northern Virginia Studio. From their releases over the years they have placed their music in tv shows, film, commercials, and on the major streaming services.

Joe is the founder of Riverland Collective where his passion for writing, producing, and recording music collaboratively fuel this build of a unique and artist-driven catalogue. In addition to playing guitar, mandolin and singing, Gus makes fine guitars and mandolins in his Richmond VA home studio.
